Introducing MRHC's "Small Beginnings"....
Manning Regional Healthcare Center is
pleased to announce the renovation of our labor and delivery unit, Small Beginnings!
Our OB unit offers birthing suites that are designed to accomodate all the needs of
expectant mothers and fathers as well as the new baby. The suites are equipped to allow
labor, delivery, recovery and post partum care all in the same location. The suites are
furnished with a sleeper recliner, rocker, armoire, TV with VCR and even a refrigerator!
There is also a private bathroom with shower and many stocked items needed to care for
mom and a new baby. In addition, the proud parents recieve a gift package that includes
photos of thier newborn, a certificate to enjoy dinner out and more, all courtesy of
Manning Regional Healthcare Center.
Parents will feel comfortable knowing
that the medical and nursing staff are highly trained. Nurses are staffed 24 hours a day
and are Neonatal Resusitation (NRP) certified. The hospital also has the capablities to
perform a cesarean section should the need arise for a surgical delivery.
Please feel free to stop in any time
for a tour of the unit or schedule a time to take prenatal eduction classes! Our prenatal
education classes are offered one Saturday a month and also feature first hand information
from our certified breastfeeding educator. So when thinking of a quality facilty to take
